U-L-M Photonics and Laser Components have closed an exclusive distribution agreement regarding single mode VCSELs in Europe.

U-L-M Photonics and Laser Components have closed an exclusive distribution agreement regarding single mode VCSELs in Europe With the closure of this agreement, both firms agree to carry on the successful relationship established on the North American market into the domestic markets as well

Looking for ways to cooperate, they quickly recognised a common path to follow in the future.

"We were looking for a VCSEL manufacturer with products of the utmost quality in order to live up to the expectations of our demanding customers.

Furthermore, it was important to us to find a partner whose Components were already established on the market.

For these reasons, we were thrilled to have found an independent, privately-run partner like U-L-M Photonics.

Decisions are made on a long-term basis and coincide with the vision of Laser Components," said Gunther Paul, president of Laser Components.

Dr Martin Grabherr, managing partner of U-L-M Photonics, also recognises the advantages of this collaboration effort for customers: "As developer and manufacturer of Laser sources for a variety of applications, the proximity to our customers is of great importance to us.

With Laser Components we offer our customers a competent distribution partner that is present on the market, readily available, and that simultaneously facilitates the contact between manufacturer and customer.

The spatial proximity and the comparable organisational structure of our two firms allow us to work very effectively in a team.

Everybody profits from such an arrangement, most of all our customers.".
