Enlarged laser light beam expands applications
Laser light barrier has an enlarged beam to make it suitable for a large range of applications such as air monitoring as well as position measurements.
The 680nm SLD produces an optical output power of approximately 3mW after optics.
All FP-HOM series Flexpoint line lasers' performance have been revised, including the following.
* Maintaining constant line alignment whilst focussing.
* Extending the overall focussing range, which is now from 50mm to infinity.
* Improving the fan angle ranges to 10, 30, 45, 60 and 90 deg.
* Increased output power up to 70mW, depending on the wavelength, due to a new design, thereby enabling shorter exposure and quicker processing times in image analysis applications.
Unlike lasers that use a cylindrical lens to generate a line, the power distribution of the FP-HOM series is homogenous, producing uniform power density across the whole length of the line.
Standard Flexpoint line lasers are available in 532nm, 635nm through to 660nm.
Laser diodes of other wavelengths are also available.
Other options include digital or analogue modulation and power adjustment using a potentiometer or a third wire.
