Quick check to ensure your bar codes will work

A Lucas Power and Control product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Mar 14, 2000

The LPC BarCheck system offers a cost effective, reliable method of scanning products, regardless of orientation, to ensure that they are carrying correct and readable bar codes.

Recognising the disruption and costs associated with incorrect, unreadable or missing bar codes on products, combined with loss of customer confidence, LPC offer a solution via its BarCheck code verification and rejection system.

With more and more products carrying barcodes, and suppliers printing bar coded labels "in-house" the LPC BarCheck system offers a cost effective, reliable method of scanning products, regardless of orientation, to ensure that they are carrying correct and readable bar codes.

The LPC Barcheck system installed on a label production or final product line end, allows an operator to input the correct bar code details at batch start, thereafter all product bar codes can be read and validated - 100% inspection.

Should errors be detected the system will signal to the operator via visual or audible indicators AND will stop the process automatically if required.

The LPC BarCheck can be programmed to individual requirements with password protection options.
