Turret punch press suits OEMs and subbies
Following extensive world-wide market research involving the future demands of both OEMs and sheet metal subcontractors, LVD/Strippit has developed the Global 20 CNC turret punch press.
Said Franco Carlotti: "This is part of our on-going investment strategy and we were very impressed with the combination of Easy Form Laser and Lazer Safe guarding which will considerably improve our bending cycle times, accuracy capability and set up times.
The new machine will complement our existing LVD press brake and two LVD laser profiling machines and LVD's CADMAN integrated off-line programming software.
With this background we knew what we wanted but still checked out the other suppliers at the show.
But the PPEB still best met our needs." The company employs 60 people at Sandwich supplying the power generation, electronics, ticketing and screen printing industries with sheet metal components in batches that vary between one and several hundred.
This means set up times are critical and when producing parts from materials as diverse as mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel, between 1mm and 10mm thick, the PPEB 8EF 135/30 provided the highest versatility.
