Laser scanning systems support CMM controllers

Laser Design (LDI) has announced that I++-compatible coordinate measuring machine (CMM) motion controllers are now supported on its laser scanning systems.

C Martin Schuster, president of Laser Design, said: 'We have the capability to install our high-speed laser scanners and scanning software on new or existing CMMs supporting the I++ protocol.' Full motion controller system retrofits are now available with the I++ protocol for the following systems: Wenzel WPC-2030 controller; Brown and Sharpe FBPC and Sharpe controllers; Sheffield MP and SMP controllers; DEA B3C/LC and TutorP controllers; IMS M9 controller; and the Numerex controller.
