Leipziger Messe, organiser of LAB 2007, has announced that over 80 percent of stand space in the exhibition has been reserved by organisations worldwide.

Leipziger Messe, organiser of LAB - the European trade fair and conference devoted to analysis, bio and laboratory equipment - has announced that over 80 percent of stand space in the exhibition has already been reserved by organisations worldwide Stand space only became available in January, and the high figure of reservations is testament to the market need addressed by this event

LAB will take place from 2 - 4 October 2007 at ExCeL London International Conference and Exhibition Centre.

Global companies such as Eppendorf, Buchi UK , Science Basic Solutions, Metrohm, Retsch and Plastiques Gosselin have signed up to the exhibition.

There will also be stands representing brands such as Thermo Scientific, Fisher Scientific and VWR.

The exhibition is aimed at manufacturers and users of analysis instruments in industry, research and development and public services.

LAB's targeted 3,000 visitors, of which 1,500 will attend the conference, will include professionals from the pharmaceutical and chemical industries as well as the food and drink, medical, environmental and public service sectors.

Clive Grantham is Group Managing Director at Metrohm UK, which is synonymous with ion analysis using the basic techniques of titration, Karl Fischer, ion chromatography and voltammetry.

As an exhibitor attending the exhibition, Clive says: "We are really looking forward to taking part in LAB As a company we find that trade shows are extremely rewarding in generating leads and providing direct contact with potential customers.

The UK has not seen a successful laboratory show for nearly a decade, despite the high standards of exhibitors.

The timing of LAB, at the end of the year, is ideal for a trade show, and we are confident that it will be a great success".

Silvana Kuerschner, LAB Project Director, says: "We have had an excellent response to LAB so far, and to have well-known international companies committing to the exhibition demonstrates the unique benefits that LAB offers to manufacturers targeting the European market.

LAB offers the combination of a trade show, with leading international manufacturers and international suppliers together with a major conference; in fact LAB will host six detailed conference streams which will focus on new and topical subjects within the industry, and is designed to accommodate all industry professionals".

Christina Naedler from Eppendorf UK comments: "As a sponsor of LAB 2007, we look forward to the exhibition creating a new identity and becoming the UK's leading biennial event for the biotech and lab automation industries.

Eppendorf believes it's important to stay in touch with our customers.

We therefore not only view LAB 2007 as an opportunity to keep regular visitors informed of the latest additions to our range of familiar products such as pipettes and microcentrifuges, but also as an ideal platform allowing both new and regular visitors to experience the larger more innovative automated pipetting and real-time systems, such as epMotion and the Mastercycler ep realplex close-up".
