Marco has been awarded a contract to supply Unilever UK Ice Cream with its all-encompassing TRAC-IT MES manufacturing execution system The installation at the company's Gloucester plant, which includes an automated weighbridge system, recipe control stations and bulk weighing, will help ensure famous Walls' brands such as Cornetto and Magnum continue to maintain their leading market position
As Marco's MD Murray Hilborne explains: "We are delighted to be working with Unilever and their confidence in us endorses our position as one of the UK's leading suppliers of MES installations.
TRAC-IT MES will ensure critical manufacturing information from the factory floor is made available to Unilever's SAP system in real time.
This will add significant value to their ERP system and eliminate unaccountable losses.".
