Onward and upward for Foodex-Meatex 2008
Although it may seem along way off, Marco Weighing are already making plans for Foodex-Meatex 2008.
The company is delighted with the outcome from this year's show and yet again they are doubling their stand size, this time to 260 sq metres.
Marco's Managing Director Murray Hilborne is excited about the prospects and as he explains: "We will be building on the success of our virtual factory theme which allowed visitors to experience how Marco's Trac-it MES (Manufacturing Execution System) really does make a difference to productivity and profitability".
"This innovative concept uses real time factory floor data from critical areas in a typical food processing environment to ensure optimum overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)".
"Trac-it MES acts as a thin server client to ERP programs such as SAP and ensures these systems can react to real time situations rather than theoretical targets.
This measure- control- improve capability gives manufacturers an instant picture of their process and allows them to react swiftly to any trends or changes".
"Visitors can walk through the virtual factory, starting at goods-in and progressing to chiller rooms, high and low prep, processing, portion control, packaging and despatch.".
