Georg Kreiner (59), leader of the company's Sales Division and Chairman of the Board of Sachs Handel GmbH, is leaving the Company at his own desire.

Georg Kreiner (59), leader of the company's Sales Division and Chairman of the Board of Sachs Handel GmbH, is leaving the Company at his own desire He made his mark on the Purchase and Materials Divisions at Fichtel and Sachs, and later at Mannesmann Sachs AG, where he held responsible positions before taking over the management of the Company's Sales Division in 1993

In 1998, when Sachs Handel GmbH was established, he played a decisive role in its expansion and successful positioning as an internationally leading commercial enterprise in the free spare-parts market.

The Company thanks Mr.Kreiner for the great service that he rendered during his more than 30 years of affiliation with the Company.

As of October 1st 2001, Dr.Stephan Freichel (40), will assume the management of the newly-created Supply Chain and Services Division of the Sachs Handel GmbH.

His responsibilities will include the expansion of the international supply chain management, e-commerce and workshop and service concepts.

After completing a course of study in economic engineering at the Technical College of Darmstadt, and his doctorate, Dr.Stephan Freichel began his career in the automobile industry in 1992.

At General Motors Europe After-Sales, he acquired international experience in a range of areas in the automotive business, including distribution, product marketing and sales.

In 1997, Dr.Freichel moved to the Merck KGaA in Darmstadt.

As Director of Logistics and Supply Chain there, he was responsible for the reorganization of the European logistics of laboratory sales, and involved in the building of the Merck Eurolab in Zaventem, Belgium.

Sachs Handel, a subsidiary of the Mannesmann Sachs AG, has 1000 employees world-wide, and is one of the leading trade organizations in the free spare-parts market.

The company's mission is to provide more than 1000 customers in 110 countries with over 10,000 auto parts.

In addition, workshops and dealers are supported competently and efficiently in the distribution and commercial use of these parts.
