MatrikonOPC will be hosting its first French Industrial Data Access Hands-on Workshop on January 30-31, 2006 in Montreal, Quebec.

The purpose of this hands-on workshop is to help engineers, integrators and software developers securely exchange process control data between devices and applications.

Since 2001, MatrikonOPC has been providing hands-on workshops around the world to individuals in the process and automation industry.

Working with standards-based OPC technology in computer labs, these individuals developed a clear and practical understanding how OPC can be used to create open and reliable communication and solve longstanding process control and monitoring problems.

"We are excited to have this opportunity to personally reach French speaking automation professionals," commented Randy Kondor, Vice President, OPC.

"The series of training classes demonstrate our commitment to OPC users by offering practical hands-on experience to build, troubleshoot and maintain today's complex automation applications." Scheduled sessions during the two-day event include: understanding the benefits of OPC and the OPC specifications, installing and configuring OPC servers and clients, configuring remote OPC connections, solving networking problems and understanding the inner workings of DCOM.
