Clean sumps and lines extend coolant life

A Master Chemical Europe product story

Getting rid of residue build-up in machine tool sumps, coolant supply lines and coolant filtration equipment with WHAMEX is one of the best ways to extend coolant life.

Getting rid of residue build-up in machine tool sumps, coolant supply lines and coolant filtration equipment is one of the best ways to extend coolant life.

For this purpose, Master Chemical Europe has introduced WHAMEX to its TRIM range of metalworking fluids.

As its name suggests, this is a powerful, fast acting concentrate, formulated to save machine-cleaning downtime by quickly lifting-off and digesting oily residues, scums and insoluble soap deposits.

WHAMEX contains no phosphates, silicates, phenols, nitrites or Butyl Cellusolve and is therefore able to remove heavy soils without affecting paints, coatings, seals, hoses or skirting; neither will it leave a slippery residue.

Fully compatible with all TRIM brand synthetic, semi-synthetic and soluble oil coolants, WHAMEX is also very hard water tolerant.

To prevent flash rusting of machine surfaces between cleaning and recharging with fresh coolant, this latest addition to the TRIM range contains short-term corrosion inhibitors.

It is also compatible with most waste treatment methods, including ultrafiltration.

It is recommended that WHAMEX is used in conjunction with a high-flow, high-vacuum sump cleaner such as Master Chemical's Yellow Bellied Sump Sucker, to maximise the speed with which spent fluids and residues are removed.

As WHAMEX is generally used in concentrations of between 3 and 5%, it is highly cost-efficient as well as being exceptionally thorough.
