Minimising cobalt leaching when carbide
grinding
Trim Grind WC has proven to leach substantially less than other grinding fluids currently available whilst maintaining superior cutting and non-cutting characteristics of carbides.
The reason why the latest introduction from Master Chemical Europe is suffixed with 'WC' is because that's the chemical formula for tungsten carbide, the prime material for which Trim Grind WC has been formulated Carbide is a tricky material to grind as the process leaches cobalt, an undesirable heavy metal residue with serious health and safety implications

Coolant cleans up surface and edge grinding
Cleaner machine tools, prolonged coolant life and lower operating costs are three main benefits experienced by Stanley Tools since making the switch to TRIM C270 synthetic grinding coolant.
In tests, Trim Grind WC has proven to leach substantially less than other grinding fluids currently available whilst maintaining superior cutting and non-cutting characteristics.
Although primarily introduced for carbide grinding, this new fluid concentrate is equally good on ceramics, cemented carbides, chill cast alloys and tool steels.
In addition to assuring operator safety, Trim Grind WC also brings the benefits of stronger parts and cleaner machines.
Unlike other grinding fluids, this concentrate does not attack wheel bonding systems.
It is formulated to carry grinding swarf to the filter but there is no risk of it being stripped out by conventional filtration systems.
Trim Grind WC is low-foaming, rejects tramp oil, resists oxidation and varnishing and has a superior sump life.
An important characteristic of Trim Grind WC is its very low carry off that guarantees extremely low fluid operating costs especially if it also is subject to Xybex recycling.
This new addition to the Master Chemical range is available in 20 litre pails and 204 litre drums.
