Cutting cool, and consistently, without
foaming
Consistently proven not to foam at high pressure, a cutting coolant has been specified again, together with a central coolant filtration system, by a Spanish IC engine producer.
Business is good for Engine Power Components in Spain Forward orders for its camshafts have doubled in recent months and production capacity is currently being geared-up for another anticipated surge

Coolant cleans up surface and edge grinding
Cleaner machine tools, prolonged coolant life and lower operating costs are three main benefits experienced by Stanley Tools since making the switch to TRIM C270 synthetic grinding coolant.
The installation of new grinding machines and machining cells has also led to the company's investment in a new Hydroflow central coolant filtration system - its second.
Completing the plant is a 65,000 litre capacity Star Filter with a flow rate of 15,000 litres per minute.
Engine Power Components has also standardised on Master Chemical's Trim C270 cutting and grinding fluid.
It was first selected when the company installed its first 18,000 litre central system in 1999.
Trim C270 has consistently proven not to foam at high pressure.
The central system was specified to filter particles below 10 microns in size from the Trim C270.
In reality, however the system far exceeded its original specification.
Particle size analysis of the coolant confirmed the filtration to be in the range of 1 - 4 microns.
As a result the coolant has run in the system for three years without being changed.
The continued efficiency of both the Trim coolant and the initial coolant management system certainly gave Engine Power Components confidence for its second, high capacity investment.
Sidasa - the distributor partner in Spain of both Master Chemical Europe and Hydroflow Europe - made a significant contribution to the overall success of this installation and credit is particularly due to Jose Albinana.
