A ceremony at the beginning of November celebrated the opening of Master Chemical (Shanghai) Co., in the People's Republic of China, less than a year after its inception.

The event was witnessed by more than 150 people including Master Chemical Corporation personnel, Master Chemical Asian distributors, local dignitaries, customers and suppliers.

Key speakers were Chief Executive Officer, Joe Wright and Xinfang Lu who was recently promoted to Corporate Director Asian Business Development and General Manager of Master Chemical (Shanghai) Co.

In his address, Lu noted that Master Chemical has a very strong presence in Asia and now employs more than 30 people in China alone.

As well as serving as a manufacturing and service facility, the newly opened 20,000 ft2 building in Shanghai will be the technical centre for all Master Chemical distributors and customers in Asia.

The full range of TRIM metalworking fluids and XYBEX recycling systems are now available throughout the People's Republic.

Master Chemical Corporation was founded in 1951.

Since that time it has worked closely with the worldwide metalworking community to develop and market a range of speciality cutting and grinding fluids, cutting oils, rust preventatives, concentrated washing and cleaning compounds under the TRIM trademark.

These products are both environmentally sound and when used in conjunction with Master Chemical's XYBEX Coolant Recycling Systems, are the most durable and stable products available today.
