The FX-311 fibre sensor allows detection of fine differences with innovative LED make up and lens design.

The FX-311 fibre sensor allows detection of fine differences with innovative LED make up and lens design Matsushita Electric Works UK Limited today introduces the FX-311 that has been designed to deliver superior sensing performance in problem applications such as glass, colour or gloss surfaces The FX-311 has a 12 turn potentiometer which enables precise adjustment and can be operated manually with a screw driver or optional knob cover

To further aid with fine-tuning of the sensor the FX-311 has a built-in ?assist function?.

Once activated the assist function indicates the optimum sensitivity position by rapidly flashing the indicator, allowing easy and reliable modification.

The pointer of the indicator has a red backlight to ensure that the position can be seen even in bad light conditions.

The most suitable sensing mode can also be selected according to application; long range (response time 2ms), standard (response time 250microseconds) or reduced intensity (for translucent objects, response time 250microseconds).

The FX-311 utilises SUNX's newly developed LED technology that uses four chemical elements.

This greatly reduces influences such as temperature on emission performance, resulting in a more stable operation and increased life expectancy.

Alongside this SUNX have developed a double coupling lens to collect and focus light more effectively.

This has given the FX-311 a great improvement in the range of standard fibres.

In order to simplify installation, the FX-311 has quick connection cables with slide type connectors.

This allows the wires to be moved with out shifting amplifier position or the need to provide extra maintenance space around them.

When amplifiers are mounted side-by-side, subsequent units only need a sub cable for their signal as power is derived from the master unit via the sub cable connector thus simplifying wiring.

If the amplifiers are mounted side-by-side in cascade, up to four fibre heads can be mounted closely without interference, as the optical communication function will automatically set different emission timing.
