UK distributor sells turning centres at EMO 2005
Macro CNC, the UK subsidiary of Miyano had considerable success at EMO 2005 having sold three CNC turning centres to visiting UK companies.
'Exceptional' was the word to describe the performance of Japanese machine tool manufacturer Miyano at the recent EMO exhibition in Hanover.
Miyano used the show as a platform to launch the new 8-axis ABX-51DHY2 and ABX-64SY turning centres and the new MCH-80 machining centre, all of which were well received by visitors to the stand.
Macro CNC, the UK subsidiary of Miyano had considerable success; it sold three machines at the show.
BTMA members Technoturn, Target Precision and WML Engineering from East Sussex, Essex and Swansea respectively placed orders for new machines at the exhibition.
Technoturn purchased the Miyano ABX51TH2 machine whilst Target Sports procured the extremely popular BNJ42-SY and WML ordered the BND51SY.
Two of the three machines have already been delivered since the show with the third machine being installed in early October.
The customers purchased the machines to add capacity and capability to current operations.
Beside these purchases, an exceptionally high number of visitors to the Miyano stand paid particular attention to the new Miyano ABX-51 or 64mm DHY2 turning centre with twin spindles and two upper turrets both capable of working with a Y-axis.
This exceptional new machine gives customers the capacity to machine components up to 64mm diameter, extending the scope of machining capabilities.
The second new crowd pleasing machine on show was the 8-axis Miyano ABX-64SY.
It also consists of two spindles and two turrets positioned above and below the workpiece that can both work at either spindle.
The ABX-64SY with a 64mm working diameter has been developed, like the ABX-51DHY2 to meet the increasing market demand for a productive, rigid machine with the capability to hold large workpieces.
The third machine that received its world premiere at EMO was the Miyano MCH-80 machining centre.
The bar working machining centre has the unique capability of machining on all six faces of a component.
The MCH-80 is an exceptional machine that fully compliments the new range of turning centres.
The new product launches were complimented by the 10-axis ABX-51TH2 twin spindle, three turret turning centre as purchased by Technoturn plus the 7-axis BNJ-42SY twin spindle two turret compact turning centre ordered by Target Precision.
Other machines on show included the extremely popular 8-axis Miyano BX 26S sliding spindle machine.
