Bar lathe machines complex parts in one
set-up
CNC turning centre with 26mm diameter bar capacity has 3D tooling heads and sliding type main and sub-spindles that have been designed to produce complex parts from bar in one set-up.
As an exhibitor at every MACH show since the early 1980's, there was little doubt that Macro CNC the solely owned subsidiary of Miyano would be demonstrating its latest innovations at MACH 2006 Like the industry as a whole, Macro CNC has come a long way since the turning centres of the 1970s with no sub spindles and power tools

CNC turning centres sold before the show started
Two fixed head CNC turning centres - to be shown at the UK's MACH 2006 exhibition - have already been sold, informs a UK supplier, which said the machines will bedelivered after the show.
Compact turning centre raises productivity
The purchase of a Miyano 42mm capacity two spindle, two turret compact turning centre will assist a UK subcontractor in its quest to improve value added content per employee.
This year, in Hall 5 on stand 5538 the company will demonstrate for the first time at a UK exhibition two new Miyano machine models together with other Miyano turning centres.
Of the new innovations, the Miyano BX-26S barworking turning centre is set to become hugely popular in the UK.
The 26mm capacity 8-axis sliding spindle with 3D tooling heads and sliding type main and sub-spindles has been designed to produce complex parts from bar in one set-up.

Rigid CNC turning centre takes heavier cuts
The rigid nature of a CNC turning centre and the power available for the driven tooling has enabled a subcontractor to reduce cycle times on many parts by taking heavier cuts.
Three CNC turning centres offer more flexibility
Of six CNC lathes to be shown at the forthcoming EMO, Miyano will demonstrate three new CNC turning centres that offer flexibility, ease of use and unmanned running.
With built in drive motors and a 25 tool capacity including revolving tools at both spindles - the Miyano BX-26S is guaranteed to be a hit at MACH especially with conventional sliding head users.
Alongside the Miyano BX-26S and built for larger parts will be the impressive new ABX-64SY2 8-axis twin turret turning centre with Y-axis.
This exceptional new machine from Miyano consists of left and right spindles, upper and lower turrets capable of accepting 24 revolving tools and 48 ID tools.
This flexible turning centre provides the user with new levels of capability enabling complex components to be manufactured in one-hit.
The two turrets are identical in size and capacity and accept revolving tools on all stations.
The Y-axis slide on the upper turret can cut simultaneously with all other slides.
This enables more complex work to be produced efficiently.
Also on the stand will be the three turret ABX-51TH2 turning centres.
This phenomenal flexible machine is manufactured with 51mm and 64mm spindle capacity.
As with all Miyano machines, accuracy and rigidity is second to none.
Accuracy and rigidity will be demonstrated at MACH on the Miyano ABX-51TH2.
The machine will not only be highlighting the rigidity, functionality and capability of the Miyano range - it will also demonstrate a new spline cutting process.
The spline cutting process in conjunction with Floyd Automatic Tooling uses Schwanog designed cutting process.
The spline cutting process from Floyd, another exhibitor at MACH on stand 5161 will finish spline profiles to high accuracies on the Miyano ABX-51TH2 eliminating second operations.
Attending MACH for the first time as Macro CNC general manager will be John Stretton who comments: "Miyano have always demonstrated cutting edge technologies at MACH and 2006 will be no different.
We will have two new machines on the stand; not only will they exhibit remarkable capabilities but they are also flexible and highly productive machines proven by their popularity with machine shops in all industry sectors throughout the UK." * Macro CNC at MACH 2006, NEC, Birmingham, UK, May 15-19, Hall 5, Stand 5538.
