CNC lathe set-up is flexible to meet future needs
Flexible set-up of a fixed head CNC production lathe allows the user to specify the machine - tooling up and down to suit its needs - giving a machine that is flexible to market trends.
This concept machine for machining complex components will accumulate customer feedback prior to the official product launch.
Macro told manufacturingtalk.com that not only had responses so far been positive but also visitors already showed considerable interest in the machine.
Also shown for the first time in the UK was the Miyano BNJ-51SY2 and the BNE-51SY5 turning centres.
These appeared alongside the established market leading ABX-64SY and BNJ-42SY turning centres.
The Super B concept will give Miyano an opportunity to retrieve customer feedback and specify the machine to meet the exacting needs of the market.
This machine combines twin spindles and twin turrets machining with a completely independent B-axis, making easy the machining of angular features.
Miyano also launched the BNJ-51SY2 turning centre.
This machine is a development of the well established BNJ-42SY turning centre that is popular among BTMA.
The Miyano BNJ-51SY2 is a 7-axis turning centre with a 51mm diameter capacity for companies looking to machine complex parts in one set-up in the size range outside that of sliding head lathes.
This exceptional machine has two spindles and twin turrets with a Y-axis slide to give 'one-hit' capability.
The Miyano BNE-51SY5 8-axis turning centre has been improved through a customer feedback programme, said Miyano, that was conducted some 12 months ago.
The machine focuses upon delivering ease of use, flexibility and unmanned running beyond that of competitor machines.
With Citizen's recent technology partnership with Miyano, the Open House was the first opportunity for Macro CNC customers to see first hand the popular Citizen L20 sliding head turning centre from NC Engineering.
The Miyano and Citizen ranges compliment each other and this gives Macro CNC customers even greater possibilities.
Alongside the Miyano and Citizen turning centres were work holding solutions and programming solutions from Leader Workholding and Delcam respectively.
