A Manufacturing Engineering Centre product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Jul 7, 2005

For bringing many new technical services to industry, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, USA, has made Professor Duc Trong Pham, Cardiff University, UK, a Fellow.

Director of the Manufacturing Engineering Centre at Cardiff University, Professor Duc Trong Pham has been made a Fellow of the internationally renowned Society of Manufacturing Engineers in the USA.

The honour is usually awarded to figures from large American automotive corporations, and rarely to anyone outside the USA, but Professor Pham will be recognised for bringing many new technical services to industry.

Awarded the OBE two years ago for advanced work in manufacturing engineering, Professor Pham last year also became the first Vietnamese to be awarded the freedom of the City of London.

Professor Pham will be 'installed' by the society in Dearborn, Michigan, in November.
