Quality Document Control enhances ERP system
McGuffie Brunton is extending the capabilities of Syspro ERP in the area of document control following the signing of a collaborative agreement with Proquis
ERP solutions provider McGuffie Brunton is further extending the capabilities of its Syspro ERP system in the area of document control following the signing of a collaborative agreement with Proquis Ltd.
Proquis provides software solutions in the areas of document control, customer management, process mapping and standards compliance and has entry level and advanced systems to meet all types of requirements.
Through the agreement, the Kent based company will offer Syspro ERP users a structured and integrated document management system that will enable them to better manage and improve the quality of company-wide documentation that lies behind and has an impact on their production and planning processes, such as product specification sheets and machine maintenance schedules.
In essence, an integrated Syspro/Proquis system manages the authorisation of documents so that users can be confident that when they click to view a document on screen then that document has been approved and is the latest version.
All documents that are managed using Proquis are subjected to a structured approach of access, change requests, edits and authorisation.
A history file within Proquis provides users with information on previous change requests and authorisation details.
The new Syspro ERP/Proquis set up provides companies with a number of key business benefits, such as improved production confidence through the quality of documentation, a reduction in production waste and better customer relationships.
Proquis software is complimentary to MRP/ERP systems and eliminates some of the gaps in areas such as complaint handling, document, equipment, audit, training, personnel and resolution management.
Howard Joseph, Sales Director for McGuffie Brunton, said: "We have been working with Proquis to integrate their software with Syspro, and I am delighted to see that a number of our customers have already signed up for both products.
"We believe that an integrated Syspro/Proquis system will enhance the quality of documentation and provide Syspro users with real business benefits.".
