SME's embrace innovation and 'best practice'
Business systems specialist is helping SMEs to restructure manufacturing operations, adopt lean manufacturing techniques, develop new products and realise supply chain benefits.
Syspro, which is replacing an ageing manufacturing and Sage based accounts package, will go live by the end of May at HRM Boilers' Attleborough plant, near Norwich.
Managing Director, Andrew Hounsfield said: "Syspro will definitely save on duplication of effort as our previous manufacturing system didn't speak directly to our accounts or marketing." With regard to selling more boilers, like the company's unique and award winning, through-the-wall, Wallstar and the new Weybourne range of floor standing boilers, he added: "We are taking a 4 user license of Syspro CRM from McGuffie's to help improve our internal and external communications and combine our six different databases into one.
CRM will help to improve communication with customers, new prospects and new markets, like Northern Ireland, and allow our sales and marketing staff to follow up leads in a more professional manner." In the past, HRM Boilers has spent a considerable amount of the sales and marketing budget on advertising in trade magazines.
But they had no system in place to accurately track and follow up leads - and there was no way of justifying advertising expenditure.
The CRM system closes this loop.
HRM is looking to be up and running with Syspro in no time at all, which is what attracted the company to Syspro in the first place.
As Andrew Hounsfield concludes: "We fully evaluated other systems, but we would have needed upgrades to use them, whereas we could Syspro straight away.
Just as importantly, all of our users were very impressed with Syspro's ease of use and McGuffie Brunton's support.".
