SME's embrace innovation and 'best practice'
Business systems specialist is helping SMEs to restructure manufacturing operations, adopt lean manufacturing techniques, develop new products and realise supply chain benefits.
Albion has built a strong reputation for the design and creation of its products, including a range of flexible, wall mounted and freestanding queuing systems, like those seen in banks and building societies.
The company selected Syspro from four other mid market business systems to replace an ageing DOS-based Sage package.
Syspro will be interfaced with bespoke MRP/Purchase Order Manager applications and will have 15 concurrent users spread across a 35-user network.
A major bonus for Albion is that there were no customisation delays in the initial implementation, much to the delight of Albion's Managing Director, Richard Osborn.
He commented: "We were looking for an integrated system that would provide us with order and reporting functionality for the business and an integrated manufacturing/CRM element that would allow us to follow a sensible upgrade path.
In particular, our wish was to have out-of-the-box functionality, no customisation and highly scalable software.
"We found Syspro offered an attractive, value for money solution in terms of functionality, ease-of-use and overall package in terms of potential installation costs, " added Osborn.
With the introduction of Syspro, the management of Albion is aiming to streamline a number of processes, such as taking out manual elements of the administration on purchasing, sales order processing and stock control, and secondly to provide them with greater transparency with business reporting.
