McLaren Software has announced its support for the recently launched Independent Software Vendor (ISV) expansions to Documentum's Alliance Partner Program.
The announcement means that McLaren will work closely with Documentum to align product roadmaps, enabling customers in the process manufacturing, utilities, engineering, design and construction markets to rapidly take advantage of the combination of future updates to the Documentum Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform and McLaren Enterprise Engineer.
Barry Ruditsky, vice president of OEM and VAR Channels for Documentum has reaffirmed that the longstanding partnership between McLaren and Documentum will benefit end user organisations: "As an ISV partner and value-added reseller for Documentum, McLaren has developed its industry leading content-based enterprise applications on the Documentum ECM platform since 1997, during which time it has developed tremendous expertise in providing turnkey solutions across the engineering industry.
McLaren's endorsement of our ISV effort strengthens Documentum's platform leadership and increases the closeness between the two companies.
It also allows McLaren to deliver applications that enable engineering organisations to quickly leverage the value of engineering content and associated business processes on a single enterprise platform." McLaren recently launched Enterprise Engineer, a family of configurable out-of-the-box applications to extend the management and control of engineering content across the enterprise.
This new a family of products helps consolidate the company's position as one of the fastest growing vendors of content management applications for the manufacturing industry.
McLaren has sold in excess of 40,000 product licenses in nearly 50 countries worldwide(According to figures from Daratech, a leading IT and market research firm for manufacturing, engineering, construction and plant operations).
Tim Taylor, chief business development officer with McLaren commented: "As a longstanding member of the Documentum Alliance program, McLaren sees great value in the new ISV focus.
This means McLaren can compress the time between platform updates and the alignment of new functionality in our applications.
The evolution of Documentum ECM platform to support ISV's provides significant new opportunities for customers to manage engineering content beyond the constraints of existing departmental solutions." * About McLaren - McLaren Software develops content-based enterprise applications for companies in the process manufacturing, utilities and engineering, design and construction sectors.
