FileNet Corporation and McLaren Software are actively recruiting joint channel partners across Europe and the Middle East to market Enterprise Engineer for FileNet P8 software.

FileNet Corporation, the leading provider of Enterprise Content Management and Business Process Management solutions (NASDAQ: FILE) and McLaren Software, a leading independent software vendor specialising in engineering content management applications and a member of FileNet's ValueNet partner programme, have announced that they are actively recruiting joint channel partners across Europe and the Middle East.

FileNet and McLaren announced the general availability of McLaren Enterprise Engineer for the FileNet P8 Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform March 2005.

McLaren Enterprise Engineer is a suite of configurable business applications that manage engineering content and the enterprise processes that use this content - from drawings and specifications to correspondence and procedures.

Enterprise Engineer for FileNet P8 is designed to meet the needs of companies in the process manufacturing, oil and gas, utilities, government and design and construction sectors as well as organisations operating large production facilities and other such assets.

Tim Taylor, chief business development officer at McLaren said, "Enterprise Engineer on FileNet P8 is typically deployed in environments where there is a high level of risk and cost associated with the management of engineering content".

" Our channel partners will help customers to minimise both by adding local insight and infrastructure to an industry leading engineering content management solution." Martyn Christian, chief marketing officer at FileNet said, "FileNet partners with best of breed application vendors such as McLaren in order to provide customers with solutions that are tightly aligned to their business needs, can be implemented quickly, and are designed to deliver low cost of ownership and fast return on investment".

"It is our vision that McLaren Enterprise Engineering for FileNet P8 will become the ECM standard for organisations in the manufacturing, energy and utilities space, delivering on customers' requirements for reduced operating costs, improved process efficiency, improved auditability and tracking of critical documents, effective compliance, and optimal decision making." The two companies are currently actively seeking partners in Northern and Central Europe, and the Middle East.

FileNet plans to leverage existing ValueNet partner relationships worldwide to increase the distribution capability of the joint FileNet/McLaren solutions.
