MCP Tooling Technologies is holding two free educational seminars at its headquarters in Stone, Staffordshire, which are aimed at designers and manufacturers The first, on November 22, will explain why vacuum casting is one of the fastest methods of producing prototypes, pre-production or low volume production parts

It will also look at new associated technologies such as nylon casting, which is already being used in the UK by Ford and Jaguar and by VW in Germany to produce both prototype and production nylon parts without the associated costs and timescales of injection moulding.

The seminar will also include a presentation of MCP's Selective Laser Melting (SLM) process, which produces metal parts direct from CT and CAD data in titanium, cobalt chrome and stainless steel.

The second seminar on November 23 will look at how micro-moulding and mini-moulding projects can be successfully and economically undertaken using benchtop injection moulders and will have particular appeal for designers and manufacturers of small precision engineered parts from 0.02 grams to 12 grams.

The seminars will be presented by members of the MCP team with contributions from external speakers.

Both seminars will contain practical demonstrations on working vacuum casting and benchtop injection moulding equipment. Request free introductory details about products from MTT Technologies Group ...
