CNC plus vacuum casting make low volume products
Incorporating CNC and vacuum casting technology, a process provides a low-cost answer for small volume products' low volume production - the CNC machining used to produce master patterns.
Castings replace fabrications, save costs
The Dean Group said that significant savings have been made by replacing welded assembly brackets with commercial grade investment castings.
Martello installed a new grade of their watershed resin in August this year and the new resin gives more durable "plastic-like" parts, with more consistent accuracy over both thick and thin sections.
Parts are also crisper and have better clarity and transparency.
The club has been developed to reward Martello's long term customers who use the company's unique low volume production service Thin-Rim and to give customers the benefit of Martello's rapid prototyping capabilities.

Martello's Marketing Manager, Rebecca Fludgate comments, "This is something we have wanted to do for a while as we very much appreciate the commitment and long term business relationship we have with many of our customers.
This is a way for them to benefit from our rapid prototyping expertise and gain a competitive advantage for their new product development projects." To keep up with demand for their Thin-Rim services, Martello Limited has recently purchased a third vacuum casting machine.
The new MK machine has a fast vacuum pump and will increase Martello's capacity significantly as well as provide improved functionality with additional facilities such as differential pressure, which assists in the production of complex parts or thin walled items such as elastomeric keypads.
Martello have also been developing their online services with the launch of a new dynamic interactive web site where customers can upload CAD data for quotation, view technical datasheets on materials, update their contact preferences and even view some fun stuff as well! The aim of the new site is to enable customers to contact Martello when on the move at home or abroad as well as enabling files too large for transfer by e-mail to be uploaded via Martello's secure server.
The site was launched in September this year with current customers being issued login details to enable them to access the site more conveniently.
New customers wishing to register can do so by visiting the main site.
