Machines validate packs by NDT to ASTM
requirement
Machines provide non-destructive testing of impermeable pack by drawing a vacuum on the outside of the pack and monitoring pack expansion by force or displacement measurement.
More pack testing equipment is now available from Medical Engineering Technologies The Qualipak Q700 series of machines, latest addition to the range, provides non-destructive testing of impermeable pack as described in ASTM
The equipment works by drawing a vacuum on the outside of the pack and monitoring pack expansion by force or displacement measurement.
The Q710 and Q720 models are single and dual channel machines for testing pillow packs and large blisters.
Calibration is simple as force is measured on a top pan balance.
The Q730 model is specifically designed for testing multi-pocket blisters, such as tablets and capsules.
Testers are also available for burst testing porous packs according to ASTM F1140.
