A particularly cost-effective technique for evaluating the quality of manufactured products, materials and components is to measure their ability to sustain applied tensile or compressive loads Mecmesin, Europe's largest manufacturer of force gauges, has announced the introduction of a new generation of software for tension and compression testing

'Emperor' controls Mecmesin's new range of Imperial-class test stands, the Imperial 1000, and Imperial 2500, with capacities of 1000 and 2500newtons respectively.

Emperor has been specifically designed for use in quality control laboratories where the mechanical properties of manufactured products need to be assessed on a routine basis - either by manufacturers or specifiers of the product.

There are two modules within Emperor.

1) The force gauge emulator is a virtual instrument console which enables specimens to be tested at fixed speed in tension or compression.

The maximum tensile and compressive loads sustained can be displayed, and a simple test report can be printed.

The emulator is entirely mouse-driven, thus eliminating the need for a keyboard to be located in the test area.

2) The programmed testing module enables sophisticated control and analysis procedures to be developed via Emperor's powerful yet user-friendly Windows interface.

Test data can be graphically interrogated, replayed, assessed against pass/fail criteria, compiled into batch reports, and exported to other software, e.g spreadsheets, and SPC packages. Request a free brochure from Mecmesin ...
