High stripping power expands turret
punch forming
A die, that features up to five times greater stripping power increases thick turret punch press forming capabilities, produces extrusions and other punched forms not previously possible.
Mate Precision Tooling announces the introduction of its new PowerMax die that expands thick turret punch press forming capabilities Designed to produce extrusions and other punched forms not previously possible, Mate's PowerMax die features up to 5 times greater stripping power (depending on specific application) than other die designs

Punch press tooling facilitates quick setups
Quick setup, easy installation, faster maintenance, and interchangeability with other suppliers' tools and tooling systems are the main benefits of tool technology for CNC punch presses.
Mate PowerMax easily expands forming capabilities allowing larger extrusions, use of thicker materials and more complex forms such as embosses, lance and forms and hinges.
The new PowerMax die operates by using the space below the lower turret to add the special set of disc springs, which produces the increased stripping force.
There are two main components to the PowerMax, the die itself and the spring canister.
The die is installed into the station as usual (through the turret gap and into the die holder).
The spring canister is attached from the bottom of the turret to the die with a draw bolt.
This two-piece design enables greater tool design flexibility and greater stripping force.
Mate's PowerMax die is available for all punch presses using thick turret style tooling including Amada, Finn-Power, Murata Wiedemann, Euromac, Nisshinbo, Strippit and other punch presses using thick turret style tooling. Request a free brochure from Mate Precision Tooling ...
