Heavy duty cross wire jig welder saves
time
A heavy duty semi-automatic cross wire jig welding machine offers a wide range of welding heads and single or multiple jig drawer operation to reduce changeover times.
Meritus, the St Albans, Hertfordshire, England based resistance welding equipment manufacturer has announced that they will be launching a new wire mesh welding system called 'Fleximan XY', a heavy duty semi-automatic cross wire jig welding machine on Stand no E53 in Hall 15 at Wire 2002 from 8th - 12th April 2002 in Dusseldorf, Germany, 'Fleximan XY' will have a wide range of welding heads to choose from, with the model being exhibited having rotating top and bottom electrodes and a new design 'jig drawer' pre-loading and welding system

Heavy duty wire/spot welder has jig drawer update
Flexible CNC semi-automatic jig welding system has a new concept in jig drawer welding systems, and has been designed and developed for heavy-duty wire welding and spot welding applications.
This new system provides the operator with three-sided open access for ease of jig loading and unloading as well as allowing the use of different jig drawers for single or multiple jig drawer operation, which can significantly reduce jig changeover times.
Also on show for the first time in Europe, will be 'uniman', a low cost complete wire welding workshop suitable for prototype modelling, flexible small batch production or for use in a 'jobbing' workshop.
It is "3 machines in one" comprising butt welding, tee welding and cross wire welding.
Supplied with either a 75kVA or 100kVA transformer, Uniman has the ability to butt weld wire frames, tee weld inner wires and cross wire weld outer wires up to 10mm diameter.
This enables it to be used for all key welded joint configurations needed in workshops fabricating a wide variety of wire mesh products.
Controlled by a British Federal WS500 programmable, multi-shedule, weld sequence timer and 3-position selector switch for welding head selection, Uniman is very flexible having a bottom electrode holder, jig frame rollers, butt and tee butt heads all with height adjustment to suit the operator.
Meritus is a division of British Federal, the Dudley, West Midlands based resistance welding equipment and controls manufacturer.
