Omega, the new range of Migatronic welding machines, utilises the advantages of inverter technology and is designed specifically for sheet metal repair shops and the light industry.
Pulse MIG provides perfect surface finish
Quality welding of ever thinner exotic metal alloys can be achieved by switching over from the TIG to a cooler pulsed-MIG process that uses self-calibrating arc control.
The fast power source makes it suitable as a stationary welding machine, as a high performance installation machine or as a welding machine for automation.
The range includes Navigator 3000 DC plus Navigator 3000 and 2500 AC/DC with maximum welding current of 300 and 250 A respectively.
The power and flexibility of Navigator 3000 DC makes it an excellent welding machine for all types of steel, while the AC/DC versions meet the requirements for quality welding in aluminium and aluminium alloys plus all DC weldable materials.
Thanks to the precise control of current power on the positive half-wave it is possible with Navigator AC/DC to weld with relatively sharp tungsten electrodes, so that the arc energy is concentrated into for example corner constructions in quite thin light-alloy metal materials.
AC/DC models have Migatronic's patented D.O.C.
system, ensuring optimum arc stability and perfect cleaning zone on aluminium surfaces.
Also programming is flexible: AC/DC can be fitted with up to 20 programs as required and Navigator 3000 DC can be fitted with 16 programs.
The new range meets the requirements of application class IP 23, and 16 A mains fuses are sufficient for the supply of maximum welding current.
On all three models you can change from HF to LIFTIG ignition, so Navigator can also be used in environments where electromagnetic interference is critical.
The arc is kept stable during the whole welding process by the power module without using HF stabilisation in both AC and DC modes.
