Real time information solution provided to Argos by Messagemaker Displays
With the opening of Europe's largest distribution centre by Argos Direct at Kempston Bedford, came the need for the state of the art real-time information solution to greet and direct the many visitors that would be attending this prestigious building David Melleney the Facilities Manager at Argos recognised the need for an electronic message board which could be controlled over an Ethernet Network

It had to be a professional sleek innovative solution that would provide clear, crisp, real time information and connect directly in to the existing 100BaseT Ethernet Network system without the need for additional cabling", said David Melleney Messagemaker Displays provided a freestanding curved monolith which was finished in silver and stood some 2 metres in height.
The Monolith display chosen was from the Standard range which has proven popular with many of the country's large PLC groups including BAA, Merrill Lynch, and British Gas.
It provides 8 lines of text, with each line having 20 characters of free text available.
The display was provided with all the necessary equipment and software for a plug and play installation.
The UniverseMM software, which is part of the package with every messagemaker standard display has many unique functions and appear modes, including pre- scheduling of events for up to a week in advance and a library to store pre-formatted messages.
