"The demand of the French automotive industry for new forming technology machines and for modernisation of the existing base of machinery is at a high level," states Herlan.
On the one hand, this was due to the strong position of the French automotive manufacturers.
On the other hand, the shift in production levels from the manufacturers to the automotive supply industry had also a positive influence on business, according to Herlan.
He observes an increased need for new machinery for flexible, powerful and cost-effective production among the automotive suppliers.
A great potential is also seen at present in further developing the service activities in France: The age structure of the existing base of machinery and the high performance potential achieved by new control systems will lead to a growing demand for modernisation measures.
The services offered cover mechanical and hydraulic presses, screw presses, forging presses and diecasting machinery of the group brands Muller Weingarten, Umformtechnik Erfurt, Beche and Beutla Nova as well as the licensed brands Clearing, Verson International and Wilkins and Mitchell.
