Universal labelling system attaches to any profile
Universal labelling system can be attached to any item profile with a line 8 system groove and acts as a receptacle for an individually printed label.
There are a number options available for the component parts: The post type will usually be line-8 80x40 light profile but can also be line-6 60x30 profile as a lower cost option if slightly strength is acceptable.
Floor-fixing methods can vary by using, amongst other things: Adjustable Ball Feet which fit to either line 8 or line 6 posts, compensate for uneven floors and eliminate the need to accurately drill fixing holes in the floor; height-adjustable folded steel feet which also compensate for uneven floors and are a robust design, particularly effective at absorbing impact; or Adjustable Stand Feet comprising height-adjustment, compensation for uneven floors and having additional side-braces as an option where lateral support is required.
Panels can be either black powder-coated welded steel or woven aluminium/steel mesh, or transparent polycarbonate, acrylic or PET-G.

Machine Building Systems has announced that literature for the latest crop of new products for the Item machine construction kit system is now available.
Heavy duty castor manages high loads
A heavy duty braked swivel castor greatly reduces the risk of unattended heavy loads being left on uneven sloping ground from 'running away' down the slope.
All lift off panels need to be framed and, as expected, there are a number of options here too: Clamp profiles are available in two sizes and and with different panel clamping methods.
Clamp-Profile 8 is a 40x40 extrusion with a deep slot for locating panels.
It incorporates screw-clamped L-strip which is ideal for fixing steel mesh panels as this stops flexible mesh panels from sliding under impact.
Alternatively, an economy 40x40 Clamp-Profile may be selected which uses a simple steel clamping-strip.
This is especially good for fixing aluminium mesh panels for similar reasons, or lip-seal can be used for locating solid panels as this is a particularly cost effective method.
Panels up to 8.5mm thick can be fitted.
Clamp-Profile 6 is a light-weight 30x30 extrusion.
Options are as outlined above for line 8 with panels up to 6mm thick being accomodated.
These framed panels now need to be attached to the fence posts and there are a number of hanger types available.
Clamp-Profile Hangers are integrated with clamp-profile fastening sets.
These can be used with line 6 or line 8 options and simply hook over the hanger which is then secured by simple adjustment with a spanner.
Hanger 6-8 can be used for a combination of line 6 and line 8 posts and panel frames and the fitting position can be varied to suit the customer's needs.
Final fixing is achieved with a simple grub screw.
Hanger 8 is a particularly robust design for panels that need to be removed regularly.
Variable fixing positions are possible with final securing by cap-head screw.
All of these methods are ideal for one-man assembly: the panels are positively located even before the final fixing operation, making the on-site commissioning of complex machines where access is frequently required but the machine must still be kept safe, very easy.
For Protective Fences where panels need not be removable the item Protective Enclosure System is the perfect solution.
It comprises deep-slotted line 8 profiles allowing the fixing of mesh and solid panels and process-free fastening techniques are used to save on machining costs.
A number of different feet are available although the Adjustable Stand-Foot provides a particularly elegant solution, and modular hinges provide a number of alternatives for incorporating opening doors.
Where budgets are particularly tight, the item Dual-Rod Mesh System provides the answer.
This system utilises a very simple method of Safety Fence construction whereby line 6 or line 8 posts are fixed to the floor and very rigid 8mm welded-steel panels are attached by means of a very versatile hanger which has a number of features: a slotted design allowing for lateral adjustment; rotating locators which compensate for misalignment of posts; one hanger can used for fixing two panels; the rotating feature doubles up to be used as a hinge; 25mm mesh size and a lower cost 50mm mesh size are both fitted using the same hanger.
