Elcom flat belt conveyors are modular
Machine Building Systems will be showing the Elcom range of modular, flat belt conveyors, which have different styles of side guides and choice of drive motor type and position.
Machine construction profiles reduce dirt traps
For the MB Building Kit, Machine Building Systems has introduced reduced crevice- and dirt-free aluminium extrusions with fully enclosed grooves on one or more faces.
The usable width can then be varied by incorporating a selection of fully-adjustable side guides, which may be fitted with polyethylene slide strips.
A choice of three-phase, single-phase motors are available, with centre or end-drive options depending on customer preference and may be orientated in a number of ways.
Nominal speeds are said to be from two metres per minute to 24 metres per minute and mechanical variators are available should speed adjustment be necessary.
Antistatic polyurethane food-quality belts are provided as standard, which taken together with the polyethylene side-guide surfaces mean that packaged components can be fed without damage, even where there is accumulation.
For a higher-grip surface, PVC and other types of belt are available, as are flighted belts.
Belt supports are available for longer conveyor lengths, which fit neatly beneath the conveyor, supporting the return length of belt.
Single or twin-belt options are available, as are stainless-steel skid plates, which are fitted as standard on the wider units.
The company said that all conveyors are fully tested before leaving its factory and they can be incorporated in to machines, or installed as stand-alone production equipment. Request a free brochure from Machine Building Systems ...
