Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Apr 16, 2007

A single style of display for a whole range of applications from the main warehouse through to reception and security areas

Developed for warehouse and distribution centres, Logivision is a new style of high resolution digital display designed by MacDonald Humfrey using cutting edge technology that provides excellent output reproduction of true font text at any size, still or animated graphics as well as a video capability.

This enables organisations to standardise on a single style of displays for a whole range of applications, whether used in the main warehouse through to reception and security areas.

The Logivision modular, programmable LED displays are being launched in a wide range of sizes from 500mm x 120mm up to 3000mm x 1200mm, providing tri-colour visuals and can be supplied for single or doubled-sided applications, this latter mode offering the flexibility of configuring from identical or independent information on each side.

They will appeal to the distributions centres for keeping staff informed in real- time of work flow patterns, performance schedules, bottlenecks, daily throughout targets, etc.

This has been made possible due to an imbedded PC running Microsoft Windows and acts as the interface between the customer's management systems and the display controller.

The new Logivision from MacDonald Humfrey features all the connectivity features to be expected from one of the UK's top automation control specialists, enabling displays to be used as standalone units or integrated into a network infrastructure - ethernet TCP/IP allowing remote access via Netmeeting, VNC or any windows remote control software.

Logivision is the latest addition to a growing family of products being developed by MacDonald Humfrey to improve efficiencies in warehouse and distribution centres.

Other products recently introduced by the company include MachPick, an extremely versatile 'intelligent' pick to light system that is undergoing further development to extend the versatility of its ID procedures.
