Mitsubishi Electric has established a significant foothold in the machine rebuilds market with its current generation of CNC systems, and launched several new products at MACH 2000 in April Mitsubishi semiconductor technology underpins the MELDAS M600 range, packing the CNC system, a PC and a PLC into one compact display unit which integrates easily with the machine tool

Its open architecture enables users to generate a customised HMI (Human Machine Interface) to meet their specific needs.

Very high speed 64 bit RISC processors handle up to 14 axes on two channels with improved real time performance to shorten machining times.

The MELDAS Magic 64 is based on a standard ISA (3/4 length) PC bus card which simply slots into a PC.

The 64 bit processor-based system supports a maximum of seven axes, comprising up to six CNC axes, two PLC axes and two spindle axes.

The latest versions of the MELDAS M64 compact CNC system were also shown.

Used with a Mitsubishi MR-J2-CT servo amplifier, simplified peripheral axes control through a PLC can be achieved.

A wide variety of flexible system solution components are offered by Mitsubishi Electric, providing peripheral support for machining centres.

These include servo and motion control systems, as well as the new A540E variable frequency inverter. Request free introductory details about products from Mitsubishi Electric Automation Systems ...
