Remote monitoring is PC based

A new software based HMI system fills a gap in the automation marketplace, sitting between dedicated HMIs and PC based SCADA.

E-View is a new software based HMI system from Mitsubishi Electric that fills a unique gap in the automation marketplace, sitting between dedicated HMIs and PC based SCADA The construction of user screens and interactive functions such as recipe handling are built in the same way as a traditional HMI, making it a quick starting, cost-efficient solution

This simplistic approach to complex features makes it very easy for HMI users to switch to a PC based solution, without any training or hours wasted on configuration.

When used with a touch screen HMI the touch key elements allow an operator to manoeuvre dynamic objects such as analogue slide switches, bargraphs and meters or simple switches and lamps, by simply touching the object rather than controlling a mouse or tracker ball.

However, if the user needs to retain traditional PC interfacing, E-View has no difficulty in interfacing via a keyboard or mouse.

E-View can connect onto other software as an OPC client as E-View supports OPC servers from other software manufacturers.

This freedom of control allows an industrial PC to benefit from running simultaneous software on the same hardware platform, at the same time as E-View, saving additional hardware costs. Request a free brochure from Mitsubishi Electric Automation Systems ...
