World-class parts and services gets award
Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America, has received General Motors Supplier of the Year award for its overall business performance in providing GM with world-class parts and services in 2005.
For the seventh consecutive year, Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America, has received General Motors Supplier of the Year award for its overall business performance in providing GM with world-class parts and services in 2005.
The award was given during ceremonies at the General Motors Vehicle Engineering Center in Warren, Mich.
"Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America is honored to receive this award for the seventh consecutive time.
The GM Supplier of the Year award demonstrates our long-standing commitment to provide high quality products and exceptional service to our customers," said Kiyoshi Shima, Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America president and CEO.
"Our relationship with General Motors goes back many years and we look forward to growing with them in decades ahead".
Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America supplies ignition coils, sensors, starter motors and other components for numerous GM vehicles.
"We consider Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America to be a role model for all suppliers.
The company is recognized as a GM Supplier of the Year because it exceeded our expectations in 2005," said Bo Andersson, vice president, GM Global Purchasing and Supply Chain.
"They are one of the best in the world, and we thank them for their hard work and commitment to helping make GM vehicles the best in the world".
The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global programme in 1992.
Winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price.
This year, General Motors honored 85 suppliers for their excellence throughout 2005.
