For the high efficiency machining for aluminium alloys, a range of solid micrograin carbide end mills with modified tooling geometries includes long and short types.

Mitsubishi's range of solid carbide Alimaster End Mills is designed specifically for high efficiency milling of aluminium alloys Mitsubishi has used and optimised the micro grain carbide substrate together with the latest ideas in flute and cutting edge geometry

The company said that this ideal combination has been proven over time and has enabled Alimaster to gain an advantage in today's ultra competitive aerospace market.

The full range includes the following.

* Long and short series end mills for slotting and general milling.

* Three-flute roughing types available in various flute lengths.

* Ball nose type to ensure a huge range of applications are covered.

* Two-flute corner radius type of 3mm - 20mm diameter.

As well as its standard series, Mitsubishi is offering modified standard cutters that can be re-engineered individual applications.

Typical examples include through coolant and corner radii that match typical components such as aircraft wing ribs.
