Transfer machine tool system builder, Mikron Agno, is continuing internal restructuring and reports in 2006 that it has met targets and increased employment.

In 2003, the new management of Mikron Agno, worldwide producer of transfer machines, started a change process.

This process involved the whole personnel and permitted the creation of about 70 new employments.

Guided by the vision 'We transfer to new Horizons' the company has reached the most important targets, as for example the development of a new transfer system called 'Mikron NRG-50'.

The successful market introduction of the new product has considerably contributed to improve the order entry.

Despite the good sales volume the company didn't reach yet the planned financial and economic targets to guarantee a solid future.

Therefore, the management of Mikron Agno continues to bring forward the change process.

New horizons have to be reached also in internal structures and procedures.

On the personnel side this implicates a reduction of roughly 40 positions.

Due to natural personnel fluctuation (resignation, early retirement, retirement and expired temporary contracts) the total of possible dismissals should be limited to approximately 25 persons.

The negotiations with the personnel commission and the social partners to find appropriate solutions have started.

First results can be expected by the beginning of October, 2006.
