Swiss transfer machine builder Mikron SA Agno and cutting tool maker Mikron Tool SA Agno have partnered together to support customers in achieving their ambitious objectives.

Mikron SA Agno the transfer machine specialists and Mikron Tool SA Agno the cutting tool experts are involved into an extraordinary partnership, that has the goal to support customers in achieving their ambitious objectives with regard to economic viablity and accompanying them as a technology partner during a whole product life Transfer machines and related cutting tools from one only manufacturer; this is a unique concept and only offered by Mikron Machining Technology

Machine builders since one hundred years, and cutting tool manufacturers for more than 40 years, the tool division became independent 1998 and was named Mikron Tool SA Agno.

Starting with 35 people the crew now counts more than 100 employees.

The successful development in Germany has lead to a separate tool manufacturing facility at Mikron, Rottweil.

A staff of over 20 employees manufactures special tools and supplies standard drills from stock to the regional market, as well to some EC countries, and also regrinds of worn out tools.

Among experts, Mikron Tool has an excellent reputation as a manufacturer of small and medium size special cutting tools in the high-end market segment.

As competent partners, Mikron Tool and Mikron SA Agno have successfully realized many demanding projects together with their customers.

Many manufacturers received, based on this cooperation, valuable production input and reduced their part costs substantially.

Primarily dedicated to Special Purpose Cutting Tools, Mikron Tool SA Agno started a few years ago a second product line, the CrazyDrill high speed small drills.

CrazyDrill is available from stock with diameters from 0.4 to 4mm ( 0.016in-0.16in) in lengths up to 15 x diameter.

It is used whenever small, precise holes in large quantities are required.

This drill has no problems with materials difficult to machine, such as Alloyed Steel, Titanium or Ovaco.

It was specifically developed for such materials.

With Mikron Tool and Mikron the customer can depend on a technologically superior qualified partner, who guides him from the development of a new product to chip removal tests and straight to the high volume production of precision parts.

Mikron also offers support for improvements of manufacturing processes and cutting conditions.
