Korean fair unveils CNC lathes with full B-axis

More than 2,500 dealers and customers attended the Daewoo International Machine Tool Fair this year, held over three days during October at its main factory in Korea.

More than 2,500 dealers and customers attended the Daewoo International Machine Tool Fair this year, held over three days during October at its main factory in Korea.

The manufacturer launched more than 50 new models including a range of twin-spindle CNC turning centres equipped with automatic toolchangers and full B-axis.

Introduced also was a new range of high-speed CNC horizontal and vertical machining centres, some with 5-axis capability.

To cater for the die and mould sector, the vertical machines are now offered with the latest Heidenhain control system.

Mike Jenkins, Managing Director of Mills Manufacturing Technology, the UK agent for Daewoo, said, "All of these new machines have top specifications and will be attractively priced to allow us to compete effectively in our market".
