Machine-building linear and profile system components now include a patented fastener that allows rapid machine frame assembly with no pre-machining or pre-drilling.

MiniTec UK will be showing several new components from its innovative Profile System and Linear System machine framing and modular positioning system ranges at the UK's Machine Building 2008 exhibition.

A new 372 page, hard-cover catalogue covers well over 600 machine-building items, which are all aimed at saving time and reducing costs for OEMs, machine builders and system integrators.

Heavily featured on the stand will be the innovative and patented PowerlockR fastener that allows rapid assembly with no pre-machining or pre-drilling.

Only a turn of an Allen Key is all that is required for fast, straightforward and neat frame construction, said MimiTec.

As well as several new profiles and positioning system components, additions as diverse as telescopic guides for work bench height adjustment and cross connectors for fixing all types of profile will be available to view.

A new range of rails and shaft supporting profiles for positioning systems and several handwheel adjusting units are also planned for demonstration at the show.

The diverse range is used extensively in safety and guarding systems, workbenches, conveyor and parts handling machinery, automated manufacturing and test equipment, special fixtures and display consoles, multi-axis linear systems and complex production plant.

MiniTec UK will also show more of its new stainless steel profile range.

With exceptional corrosion resistance and complete interchangeability with MiniTec's aluminium framing system, the new range is available in a 45mm x 45 mm profile and is well suited for use in harsh environments, outdoor construction and clean processing applications such as chemical plant, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage production, clean rooms, and high temperature processing.

Visitors will also be able to see demonstrations of MiniTec's extensive web-based design facilities which include a CAD file download service and an interactive E-catalog featuring a graphical user interface for simplified design visualisation and parts listing.

Engineers and designers involved in all aspects of machinery construction who are eager to find a machine framing and building system that lowers the cost of ownership for themselves and their customers will find a visit to MiniTec's stand well worthwhile (Stand 1810).
