Trapped key interlocks guarantee worker safety in an automatic warehouse to safeguard both personnel and machinery.

Mistura Systems has supplied trapped key interlocks to guarantee worker safety in an automatic warehouse built by Swisslog of Redditch for Walkers Snack Foods, the UK's biggest snacks manufacturer Swisslog provide turnkey solutions for automated handling equipment and regularly use Mistura interlocks to safeguard both personnel and machinery

Swisslog has provided Walkers with an integrated distribution warehouse.

The Mistura interlocks control access into the fenced areas of dangerous machines such as stacker cranes and vertical conveyors in the Picking Area, where batches are made up for customers.

Swisslog are also using the interlocks on a second project on the same site, the upgrading of an existing high bay warehouse, where they are replacing many of the safety systems governing machine access.

Trapped key interlock systems from Mistura are a simple method of making machinery and most industrial processes safe.

They also ensure that equipment cannot be abused, or operated in an incorrect sequence or manner.

Whether the aim is to provide protection for personnel, or for plant and equipment, almost any sequence of control and hazard protection can be achieved using a "building block" approach, from the most simple, to highly complex applications.

Mistura offer a large selection of trapped key interlocks, for use in all industrial sectors, that are built for strength and designed to resist tampering and abuse.

There is no limit to the number of functions that can be controlled thanks to the use of unique Modular Key Exchange Units.

Customised systems are readily available and custom engineered solutions suitable for OEM use can easily be supplied.
