Swiss cutting tool manufacturer will be showing a very adaptable small hole drill range and a drills designed for carying out for machining small and medium batch quantities.

Mikron Tool SA Agno will be offering EMO 2007 visitors two parallel drill programmes, each having an ideal cost-performance ratio for every application * The CrazyDrill - a highly successful market introduction, which has proved itself in tests and actual production millions of times

It is the small drill for the most demanding requirements and is now made in four versions.

Each version has a geometry optimally suited to the customers' requirements.

Whether pilot to deep hole drills, from steel, aluminum or stainless steel machining, these drills have the capability to tackle difficult materials or extreme cutting parameters.

It is used where large series, multiple drillings per workpiece and difficult conditions are the 'norm'.

Depending on design, these high-performance drills are available from stock in diameters ranging from 0.4mm to 6mm (in 0.5mm increments) and lengths of 2 x D to 15 x D (D = diameter).

* The MiquDrill line - introduced at EMO 2007 in Hanover, these drills offer tried and true Mikron quality for small and medium batch quantities and minimal holes per workpiece.

Mikron said that they are therefore the ideal addition to the CrazyDrill high-performance product line.

Three types of drills are available as follows.

* Centre drills - produced in various diameters from 0.5 to 6mm that already center for the smallest drilling diameters starting at 0.1mm, while simultaneously performing a 90 deg or 120 deg chamfer.

* The short drill MiquDrill 200 - the drill produces holes of approximately 2-3 x D.

As a pilot drill, it guarantees the precise execution with the MiquDrill 210, for example, and achieves the precision needed in deeper hole drillings.

Both drills were especially designed for micromachining and are available uncoated in diameters down to 0.1mm, coated from 0.3mm.

The short drill product line is offered in 0.01mm increments up to 1.5mm diameter.

* The universal MiquDrill 210 product line - these drills are available in increments from 0.01mm to 2mm, and subsequently in every 0.05mm up to the maximum diameter of 3mm.

Note that all MiquDrill drills are available from stock and therefore can be shipped on very short notice.

* Mikron Tool SA Agno at EMO 2007, Hannover, Germany, September 17-22, Hall 5, Stand B52.
