Mikron introduces Crazydrill Twicenter

A Mikron Tool SA Agno product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Oct 8, 2008

Mikron Tool has developed the Crazydrill Twicenter, a centre drill designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding customers.

Two integrated ducts supply the coolant directly to the exact spot where it is needed, right up to the drill's cutting edge.

No additional external cooling is needed.

When drilling - and consequently when centring - in places difficult to access, bringing the coolant up to the cutting edge can be quite difficult.

Only a precise internal coolant supply solves the problem.

A double point provides for increased cutting stability.

The Twicenter offers 60deg or 90deg chamfers combined with a 130deg tip angle, which apart from a better protection of the cutting edges also guarantees a perfect centring for the subsequent drilling operation.

Crazydrill Twicenter is available from stock in diameters from 0,3mm to 6mm.
