Mechline is launching a hands-free conversion kit to change existing kitchen wash hand basins to hands-free systems which will greatly improve hygiene, reduce cross-contamination and save water and heating costs.

The Hands Free-EZ kit provides a knee valve, water blending valve, water hose and swivel spout.

On touching the knee control, the spout will deliver 15 seconds of water, which is enough to wash and rinse.

Water savings can be about 50 per cent.

In addition, Delabie from Mechline is a high-quality range of professional foodservice taps, pre-rinse sprays and water controls.

They are thoughtfully and purposely designed for the demands of commercial kitchens and intensive usage.

Most taps are derivatives of domestic products.

Delabie taps, however, are distinctive professional alternatives.

Features include: high swivel spouts that allow users to get pots under and swivel the spout out of the way; high-flow water output; cleanable tap heads; easy to use and resistant to abuse; wall-mounted options; and an unrivalled warranty of 10 years against manufacturing defects.

Delabie pre-rinse sprays incorporate flow/spray adjustable water heads - so the user can can douche or jet - and this feature is claimed to be unique.

Other user-friendly features are: height-adjustable to suit site conditions; high-flow, wipe-cleanable Hytrel water hose; easy-to-clean tap head controls; and telescopic swivel bowl-filling spouts.
