Mechline Developments is introducing a self-contained electronic battery tap, which is claimed to be unique, that actually encourages people to wash their hands.

The Delabie Tempomatic 3 only operates when hands are placed directly under the tap head.

No physical contact is necessary, thereby avoiding cross-contamination and increasing hygiene standards.

The simplicity of the action leads to people wanting to wash their hands as part of their daily routine.

With the tap delivering unbelievable water savings (up to 80 per cent), not only will hygiene standards be improved, but utility costs are also seriously reduced by up to £1300 per annum in an fairly standard foodservice operation.

Easy to install or retrospectively fit, the brilliance of the design is that all the controls are built into the tap body, and all that is needed is a water supply.

Lithium batteries last for 300,000 cycles - or an average of about five years.

How much simpler could it be?.
