Low cost light guarding reduces costs
Two low cost light guarding systems are considered to be a significant move to reducing costs in terms of both labour and material.
MK Profile Systems have introduced two new low cost guarding systems into their ever expanding range of modular machine guard solutions The Light guarding systems are based on applications where black or yellow powder coated steel mesh 40mm X 40mm X 4mm can be used

Aluminium framework system CAD parts are online
A free download service is now available for detailed CAD images of their machine building system, initially with 700 profile and component images as well as a belt conveyor system.
The Fence Clip System uses special plastic clips to fix the mesh into the surrounding profile frame without the need for an intermediate clamping profile.
The plastic clip is simply tapped home with a mallet to give a simple, secure method to build sturdy mesh perimeter guarding frames.
The Rigid Fencing System utilises a mesh panel with a horizontal kink at the top and bottom to provide the required stiffness so that the need to frame the mesh is dispensed with.
The mesh is attached directly to the vertical posts with a simple aluminium clamp, which secures either one or two panels to the posts, which in turn are securely fastened to the floor.
In areas where greater strength is needed, the post can be changed for a 40X80 aluminium profile.
MK maintain that the new systems are a significant move to reducing costs in terms of both labour and material.
The new Light guarding system fits to the modular ethos of the MK guarding system and all other standard modules for doors, windows and solid panels in painted steel, foamed plastic polycarbonate, acrylic and PET can still be mixed in to achieve a total modular guarding solution.
